General Terms and Conditions of Sale

Les Chambres d’Athéla

1. Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern the booking and stay arrangements at the guesthouse Les Chambres d’Athéla.

Any booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms.

Our guest rooms comply with Articles D.324-13 and D.324-14 of the French Tourism Code.

2. Booking

A booking becomes firm and confirmed upon receipt of a deposit corresponding to 30% of the total stay amount.

A secure payment link will be sent to the guest to proceed with the deposit payment.
Payment may also be made by cheque.

The booking confirmation will be sent to the guest after receipt of the deposit.

3. Balance payment

The remaining balance is to be paid on arrival, unless otherwise agreed between the parties.

Payment methods

Accepted payment methods are:

  • Cash (€)

  • Bank card (Visa and MasterCard)

  • Bank cheque (French banks only)

  • Bank transfer (in € only)

In guesthouses, it is customary for the remaining balance and any additional services (meals, drinks, etc.) to be settled at the end of the stay.

Any service not disputed in writing within 24 hours of its provision is deemed accepted and payable at the displayed rate.

An invoice is issued to the guest upon departure, including:

  • details of the services provided

  • accommodation cost

  • any additional services

  • tourist tax amount

VAT is not applicable in accordance with current regulations.

4. Rates

Prices are stated in euros (€) and include all taxes (TTC), including tourist tax.

Rates apply to direct bookings made with Les Chambres d’Athéla, without intermediaries.

Prices are:

  • per room

  • per night

  • breakfast included

Rates and offers are subject to availability at the time of booking and may be changed without notice.

Promotional offers are non-retroactive and cannot be guaranteed for future bookings.

As the décor and atmosphere of the house may evolve, photographs on the website and social media are non-contractual.

5. Cancellation policy

Cancellation by the guest

  • More than 3 weeks before arrival: full refund of the deposit

  • Between 3 weeks and 1 week before arrival: 50% refund of the deposit

  • Less than 1 week before arrival: the deposit is non-refundable

All cancellations must be made in writing (email or post).

Cancellation by Les Chambres d’Athéla

If the stay is cancelled by Les Chambres d’Athéla, all amounts paid will be fully refunded.

We will also endeavour to offer suitable alternative accommodation, without this constituting any liability on our part.

6. Arrival and departure

Arrival and departure times are communicated at the time of booking.

In case of late or unexpected arrival, guests are kindly requested to inform the owners as soon as possible.

7. Pets

Pets are allowed in the property under the responsibility of their owners.

Guests are expected to respect the tranquillity of the premises and maintain cleanliness in communal areas.

8. Smoking policy

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house.

Guests may smoke only in designated outdoor areas.

9. Liability

Les Chambres d’Athéla cannot be held responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to guests’ personal belongings during their stay.

Guests agree to respect the property and all equipment provided.

10. Disputes

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority between the parties.
